Bandleader, guitarist and vocalist Martin Hand has been performing with the Symphony of the Americas since 2001. Born in England in the late 1950’s, he was influenced by the Beatles, The Rolling Stones and many other artists of the time. He later immigrated to the US where he attended the Berklee School of Music in Boston, MA.
He has performed with Dizzy Gillespie, Henry Mancini, Burt Bacharach, Michael Feinstein, Arturo Sandoval and many other musical greats.
The program that evening will include standard jazz tunes by composers such as Dizzy Gillespie, Duke Ellington, Thelonius Monk and Horace Silver, as well as modern jazz composers such as Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Bob James and Joe Sample.
We are thrilled to introduce you to the musicians and vocalists from the Olga Iglesias Project who will be performing as well during this event.

Celebrating Laura Dobrzanski for her service to the arts with the Weston Music Society's Platinum Circle Award
Laura has been engaged with the ACGW since 2015 and assumed the role of President in 2020. She has been a resident of Weston for the majority of her life and presently holds an executive position at Omniangle Technologies in Weston. She has held numerous leadership roles within the Rotary Club of Weston and has been actively involved with the Weston YMCA since 2019, currently holding the position of Weston YMCA Advisory Board Chair.
She has an extensive track record of active engagement within her community, with arts and music ingrained in her life since she was young. Laura is honored to serve amongst numerous influential and dedicated leaders who have established remarkable foundations for extraordinary and widely celebrated arts and cultural events. Thanks to the unwavering support from the City of Weston and the invaluable contributions of numerous volunteers working tirelessly behind the scenes, ACGW events, such as the Weston Foreign Film Series, Weston World Fest, Student Artist Showcase, and Celebrate the Arts Day, have achieved remarkable success and continue to thrive and expand. She firmly believes that events like these and other arts and cultural events are essential elements for fostering a dynamic and diverse community like Weston.
